Patricia (Pat) Jane Kearns Gilsvik, 85, died on March 30th, 2022 after a recent diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Pat was born on November 20, 1936 to Jane and Ralph Kearns in Minneapolis, MN.

In the 1970s, she and her husband Bob, moved their family to Grand Rapids to be closer to nature and opportunities the area provides. Pat found a kindred community in the Unitarian Fellowship, a place where people can reflect together, about important questions. In her forties she pursued and attained a college degree at Bemidji State University and later worked at Itasca Community College.

She will be remembered for her vibrant energy, many interests, her love of walks around Crystal Lake in Grand Rapids, and her ability to meet people and make a connection within minutes.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; sons David (Patti), Keith; daughter Tracy (Keith); grandchildren Hanna (Mark), Emily (Sam), Leif (Elina), and Claire; great grandchildren Jasper and Kia; sisters Carol and Sharon; nephews and nieces and many close friends.

The family is holding a private celebration of her life in May.
