The weathered cedar shingles were lovely to Dietrich, and she described how she left some of the old paint intact, incorporating it into the almost architectural design she added. Adding goldleaf highlights, said Dietrich, was part of her homage to the sense of reverence she has for the buildings of the lumberyard.
