The Mayo residence in Two Harbors was a busy place on Monday, January 24, 2022. First there was piping hot pie coming from Kitty Mayo’s oven and then it was time for Kitty and Forrest Johnson to use the kitchen space to come up with just the right recipe for the first edition of the Lake County Press. The two linked up with Elaine Verone, lay out, and Kristen Dolan, ad builder, who work remotely from North Carolina and New Jersey on formatting the paper. Very soon the downtown office for the Lake County Press will be up and running and Kitty can get her kitchen back, but in the meantime the paper will be coming “hot” off the press from Kitty’s kitchen.
