T h e Library Board helps establish the mission and vision of the library, determines policies, and oversees the Library Director.

Cooperative Light & Power (CLP) was recently recognized for excellence in workplace safety and health during the 2022 Minnesota Safety and Health Conference, May 3-4. CLP was one of 191 employers to be honored through the awards program, coordinated by the Minnesota Safety Council.

The Two Harbors baseball squad traveled to Crosby-Ironton last Saturday and took home two wins over Section 7AA foes Mora and host Crosby-Ironton. Coach Tim Bott said a host of Agates stepped in both the 9-4 win over Mora and the 6-1 win over Crosby-Ironton.
On Tuesday, May 3rd we hosted the Two Harbors Invite at Two Harbors High School. 10 teams were competing: Barnum, Cook County, Cromwell-Wright, Ely, Floodwood, Lakeview Christian Academy, Mesabi East, Rock Ridge, Silver Bay, and Two Harbors.
Silver Bay coach Mike Guzzo called last Thursday’s 2-1 win over Mountain Iron-Buhl a good win for his squad. “Now we’re playing real ball,” he said.

Editor’s note: Last week we printed the missing episode of the story concocted by the reluctant editor as a way to calm his nerves flying a plane he had never flown before. We apologize that the missing episode was a bit out of chronological order but things can’t always follow the script. So we’re back to the fact that the reluctant editor, with the help of Hell Yes! Landed the plane without crashing.
