Robo Dweebs compete at State

Super Bowl Sunday began with nervous energy, lots of tired chatter, and great anticipation. The morning was full of pit set up, final presentation preparations, and the organizing of spaces and thought processes. The opening ceremony was full of information, congratulations, and inspiration. The National Anthem was sung and then it was 3…2…1..LEGO! The THHS Robo Dweebs had a jam packed morning schedule of back to back robot games and presentations. They made their judges laugh with their humor and lessons learned as well as answered the questions of these State level judges quite well. Their robot performed its best during the first two runs and then it had some issues. Midday the Robo Dweebs were informed that they would have TWO callbacks for MN Programming and Creative Project Presentation. The team loaded up on protein during their celebration moments before tackling the preparations for callback judging. Just by being at State this team was in the top 15% of the LEGO Robotics teams of MN but now they were in the top 1% by attaining this callback in each area. This means in their division of 11 teams they were the best and had a chance for a State trophy.
