The North Shore Storm 10U girls hockey team played Cloquet Gold on Thursday, January 18th at Sonju Arena in Two Harbors.

The Two Harbors Mite 2 teams were in Twig last weekend for the Twig outdoor hockey classic tradition jamboree.

Though there has been little snow for regular practice the North Shore storm cross-country ski teams competed on December 19 at Mount Itasca in Grand Rapids.8th grader Gunny Skadberg placed fourth in the junior varsity 5K race.

Tokvam sees participating in sports as an opportunity to learn about setting goals, managing pressure, and dealing with victory and failure.

A sport that has been growing in Two Harbors for more than a decade under the guidance of coach Jenna Udenberg, this year is the first year that two teams will be heading to competition representing Two Harbors.The returning Robo Dweebs team of eight 6th through 8th graders has some veteran members working on the Lego First Challenge for this year’s competition themed “Masterpiece”.

Of all the statistics and accomplishments possible to be proud of during a season, it is the community service hours that Agate football Coach Tom Nelson is the most proud of.

Two Harbors High School sophomore Bella Imholte has distinguished herself on the swim team throughout the season, then at section prelims she qualified for the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke.Coach Heather Mayfield says that what happened the day of section finals was a great learning experience for one of the most important lessons of athletics and life; bouncing back when things do not go the way you hoped.Her first race that gave her a shot at going to state during last Saturday’s meet was the 50 freestyle.
