From a Pastor’s Heart

FEAR. As we look at the world and the events that surround us the word fear seems to rise to the top. Whether it be local events or World crisis, fear is an emotion that comes to all of us. I happened to come across the following from the app “The Language of Letting Go” . One day I decided to try something new. I took my 10-year-old son out on the St. Croix River on a Waverunner. The Reluctant Editor

The worrywarts of the world are among us. I say worrywarts of the world simply because the worries over immigrants and “losing our way of life” isn’t solely an American problem. Katya’s Corner

I listened to a podcast recently (choralosophy.com, Episode 110) in which one of my favorite Braver Angels staff, Monica Guzman, discusses her book about fostering friction in a classroom. In the classroom, says Guzman, you are looking for truth, and you want students to search for it–together. This can create conflict, and a healthy classroom should expect and welcome this.
