Lighthouse Point development would generate more revenue for city

To the Editor, I am writing in response to last weeks' Letter to the Editor from Glenn Johnson. Every year I enjoy coming up to Two Harbors and was excited to hear there might be some development happening on Lighthouse Point. After reading his letter I want to point out that he may not understand or has been misinformed on how Tax Increment Financing (TIF) works.

And while I can’t help but wish that more of the negative feedback I received had addressed the issue itself (the hiring process) and was less a condemnation of my person and intentions, still I can understand and sympathize with the sense of being attacked.

The author, Roth Edwards, pointed out the value and importance of green space and natural beauty, and the need to preserve what little of the original northern forests are still standing or rejuvenating.

Caregivers in plain sight Caregiving can be as simple as what most of us would consider a simple act of kindness, or as complex as assisting another with meal preparation or personal hygiene care. Even though they are everywhere in our community, most caregivers do not consider themselves a caregiver particularly if the recipient of care is a spouse or family member.
