Well-known Minnesota author Mary Casanova coming to libraries on the north shore in April Straight out of college, Mary Casanova and her husband followed their dream to live “up north.” Forty years and 40 books later, Mary’s love of woods, water, and wilderness permeates her wide range of work. With heart and humor, Mary Casanova entertains & educates as she shares her writing process, including where ideas come from, overcoming writer's block, doing the research, drawing on the five senses, mining personal experience, and creating strong beginnings. Program length is 60 minutes and is recommended for all ages!

Bizz Buzz: Costley & Morris Law Firm

If you visit Mitch Costley at his office, you can’t help but notice the history documented in photos all around. Talk to him for more than a few minutes, and the history of Lake County will soon be wound into his conversation. Proud of his ancestral roots that go deep in Lake County, Mitch says that he has members on both his mother’s and father’s sides that were pioneers here before Minnesota even became a state. After obtaining his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, Mitch returned to Two Harbors to open his first law practice in the fall of 1967.
