Two Harbors City Clerk Position Validated, Short Term Rental Public Hearing Set

City attorney Tim Costley presented information regarding the city clerk position during the Committee of the Whole 5:00 pm meeting. Costley stated that he had verified that it is a valid position per the charter and a council action in 2019, and that the city clerk is authorized to attest, or witness, the mayor’s signature on city documents. Costley did agree that updating city code amendments are needed throughout the city code in the future.

A WILD stretch run has commenced! The Minnesota WILD finished a recent road trip and returned home for a Sunday matinee tilt. For the week the team completed the back half of their four-game road trip (2-1-0-1), and for the calendar week the club was 1-2.

Veterans Love Lisa

Last Saturday the Anderson/Claffy American Legion Post 109 of Two Harbors presented a plaque to Lisa Heinonen, owner of Judy’s Café. Thanking her for her exceptional volunteer work for veterans, Gordy Anderson said that a favorite abbreviation at the Post is “VLL”, or Veterans Love Lisa.
