The Groundskeepers at Granite Gear, Castle Danger Brewery, and Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District have come together again to highlight to the community our shared interest in protecting the planet from our litter. On Saturday, April 23, individuals and families can show up at Castle Danger Brewery anytime between 10:00 a.m. and noon. They will be instructed to an area and given bags. You can pick up garbage for whatever time you have.

Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is actively seeking citizen input on potential plans for the Highway 61 corridor through Two Harbors, and roundabouts are an integral piece of the discussion. MnDOT is examining the possibility of using roundabouts for the two major intersections leading in and out of town (at Culvers in the southwest end of town, and Holiday on the northeast end), as well as smaller roundabouts in the center of town.
