Letters from William Kelley sixth grade students were entered into the record at the most recent Silver Bay city council meeting on May 16, raising their joint concern for the environment, and asking council members to make decisions that were in support of a healthy environment.
Ten students from William Kelley and Two Harbors High Schools participated in the State FFA Convention at the University of Minnesota on April 24-26th. Students participated in Career Development Events and workshops, attended sessions, helped out with a community service project, and met new people.

This week the Lake County DAC was finally able to hold a community celebration to commemorate their 50 anniversary of serving Lake County. LCDAC moved to Two Harbors about five years ago seeking more space, after spending 45 years based in Knife River.

VA Burial Benefits – Memorial Items The VA’s National Cemetery Administration provides certain memorial items for deceased Veterans to honor their military service. These items include headstones, markers, and medallions, as well as burial flags and Presidential Memorial Certificates.

An event sponsored by the North Shore Mental Health Group and funded by a grant from the UMN Extension’s Rural Sustainable Development Program will give participants game-changing strategies for resilience and stress management.
