Trail Work Day in Two Harbors

The new snowshoe trail in Two Harbors is a spider web of trails totaling six kilometers. It is open to dogs, fat bikes, and all manner of hikers and snowshoers. It boasts a rocky ridge as well as creeks, uplands, and lowlands. Not surprisingly, this trail was well used its first winter (2021-22). Trails take maintenance, and this is the time of year for winter trail preparation. Between the nine kilometers of trail on the Erkki Harju Ski Trail and the snowshoe trail, many volunteers will be needed. A trail work day is planned for Saturday, November 12. Volunteers will meet at the Fairgrounds buildings. There will be two work shifts, from 9:00 a.m.-noon and 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. They will be followed by the Erkki Harju Ski Trail Annual Meeting at Cedar Coffee Company at 5:00. Pizza will be provided and beverages available for purchase. For more information see the Facebook page (Two Harbors/Erkki Harju Ski Trail) or contact Mark Gordon at 218-3409648.

Look the opposite way and you see the mighty power of the crucified and risen Christ. In any given minute, we’re distracted and called by Atlas. In other words, the mighty powers of this world, or we could purposely and intentionally look to the mighty power of the crucified and risen Christ. It’s sad that we keep looking at Atlas, and what is powerful and mighty according to the world.
