A jubilant St. Urho’s parade crowd shouts its approval.

Col. Bob Buus was the amiable host for the breakfast crowd at Our Place in Finland before the parade. The colonel and his crew worked overtime on Saturday keeping thirsty and hungry patrons well attended. Our place was voted the best in category for their cabbage and corned beef soup! Isolation. This is a word we have become very familiar with in recent years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is a word that conjures up a lot of emotions, experiences, and maybe for some, even trauma. However for many people in the disability community this word wasn’t a new word, or a new experience of restriction. It is a word that describes many of our days in the pre-pandemic world.
