Clover is an Old Time Scotch Collie who just celebrated his first birthday. He is a sweet and silly boy who loves food, his dog sister Bonnie, going for walks and sleeping on the sofa. He makes us laugh daily with his entertaining personality and zest for life!

Jerry Kern, a Silver Bay resident on Burk Drive, answered our questions one recent morning about the town’s original water tower that used to sit up the hill from his house. Jerry was away at the time, but a friend who was vacationing at his home, captured the event in pictures and even drew a diagram explaining the demolition process in Jerry’s guest book.
For those Christians who are a part of a liturgical church tradition, we have been observing the season of Lent, a 40 day period of time that culminates in Holy Week and Easter, since it began on Ash Wednesday, which fell on March 2 this year. Many Christians utilize this season as an opportunity to focus on the meaning of Christ’s journey towards death and the cross, and on His resurrection.

Avian Influenza is a highly pathogenic virus that will probably raise egg and poultry prices in the coming months. The Avian Flu does not pose a significant risk of infection to humans. Instead, virus travels from wild birds like migrating ducks and songbirds to commercial flocks, causing up to fifty percent mortality in confinement operations.
Kurt Mead, Tettegouche State Park Naturalist, will be offering two free webinars in April The Silver Bay Library is sponsoring a “Virtual Tour of the North Shore State Parks”, on Monday, April 11 th from 6:00 to 6:30 pm by Zoom. The nonprofit volunteer run group Friends of Tettegouche State Park is bringing “Miracle of Maples” to a virtual experience for Earth Day, Friday, April 22 nd at 7:00 pm.

The Beaver Bay Ladies closed out the parade in their green car. Apparently the Hooterville squad gave up their spot for the ladies.
