The William Kelley High School Band of Mariners participated in the Section 7A State Region Music contest on February 27. Despite the crazy weather that day the Concert Band earned two Superior ratings as well as an Excellent. The newly reformed WKS High School Jazz Band earned an Excellent rating.
The March 8th band concert was held in order to show families what music the concert band played at the regional competition that took place Monday, February 27th at the Eveleth-Gilbert High School.. The concert took place in the pit and began at 2:30 due to scheduling conflicts with community theater and sports.
Silver Bay got to rock through some summer evenings with next-level performances brought to town by the ever-enthusiastic and tuned in Rocky Wall Productions. Rocky Wall Productions is a nonprofit organization brought to life by dedicated volunteers in Silver Bay who believe in the power of music to build community connections, and fun is on the roster, too.
Last Friday kicked off the Friday evening Moonlight Music & Market event in downtown Two Harbors with live music by Duluth Transit Authority covering Chicago tunes. Watch for future performances and vendors on the third Friday of each month (July 15 and August 19).
