People from all over came out to enjoy an outdoor concert by GB Leighton at Castle Danger Brewery Thursday, June 6.Including folks up from Duluth and the Range just to see this band as they performed the debut new campaign theme song “Nature’s Rhythm, Center Stage.”Jen Waldron said that she and her husband Jeremy have made a 26-year tradition of seeing Leighton perform for their anniversary.
Camp House, now and then
Last weekend members of the United Church, Two Harbors, gathered for a picnic at the old Camp House in Brimson.Situated on Lake George the YMCA and railroad started a youth camp there in 1923, making a reasonably affordable option for beach time and an outdoor experience for children of folks who worked for the railroad.Pat Olson, 86, was back at Camp House Saturday.
