There were unfamiliar vans from Kansas driving in Two Harbors the week of June 24-29. No it wasn’t Dorothy and Toto or the wicked witch of the west. The vans weren’t loaded with tourists, but workers.

Let’s Plant Trees donated seedlings to aid forest recovery in the Brimson area, where severe wildfires scorched thousands of acres, destroyed homes and cabins, and left large tracts of forest damaged or completely wiped out. These seedlings will help begin the long process of regeneration in a community deeply affected by fire.
Part of Wildfire Community Preparedness Day, some residents of Brimson met with the Brimson Area Volunteer Fire Department and St. Louis county on June 7 at a residence on the Drummond Grade.
The Two Harbors Waterfront Taskforce is a newly forming working group that will serve as an advisory to the city council on what the community wants to see for development at Agate Bay.
