“Big” Don Bennett salutes from high atop the Bear Lake overlook sometime in the early 1980s before the completion of the Superior Hiking Trail. The trail association will be rebuilding portions of the hiking trail to Bean and Bear lakes in the coming month and volunteers are needed.
