This group of camp hunters was photographed by William F. Roleff, called the “Master photo historian of the Minnesota lumber industry.” The hunters supplied logging camps with fresh meat and fowl, and as you can see shot nearly anything they came upon. Roleff spent many years in Two Harbors and would ride the Duluth& Iron Range trains and then hike or toboggan his gear to remote camps. Photo by William Roleff
