“A Champion of Search & Rescue” was the theme for LC commissioner Rich Sve’s comments, as he remembered former commissioner Pete Walsh who had dedicated much of his time to safety for his district and the county. Included in Sve’s comments was the message that Walsh worried that more volunteers were needed, and Sve encouraged others to join in serving the county as a first responder. Some of our county’s Heroes had to eat-and-run as their beepers went off to indicate an emerging issue related to high winds.
