Study associates heartburn with NFL referees & some WILD news! It is late Sunday eve and all I can say is that after watching this afternoon's two gridiron matchups, I am almost glad the Minnesota Vikings weren't playing! The NFL had its two Conference Championship games today and it was hard to watch them when you consider the absolute and total futility of the officiating crews that worked today's big events. The NFC battle featured Philadelphia and San Francisco (PHI 31-7W) and this game should have tipped me off to what a disastrous day of officiating I was about to witness.

Disappearing Cold. We’ve just finished what is statistically the coldest week of winter in the Upper Midwest, but the deep cold that typically envelopes us has, so far, been completely absent this winter, despite the La Nina conditions in the equatorial Pacific Ocean that favor a colder than average winter.
