David and Dakota went to state competition representing the Lake Superior Lakers Special Olympics bowling team. Competing in Grand Rapids David took first in singles bowling, and Dakota was recognized as the teammate of the year!

Food insecurity has always been with us. While we continue to tweak and revamp our system so that people can afford to grow, process, buy, and prepare their own food, immediate needs continue. The Two Harbors Area Food Shelf has given out 41% more food in 2022 than it did in 2021. With the holiday season pending and heat bills rising, it’s a great time to support local food needs which are rising sharply throughout Minnesota. Because food shelves can buy food at a discounted rate, every dollar you donate provides a meal for at least five people!
Finding creative solutions that improve the quality of life for our elders is what Community Partners in Two Harbors is all about. Now, with the help of a grant from the Two Harbors Area Fund they will be able to offer even more support to seniors so that they can thrive while living in their own homes.
