Interim Sheriff Nate Stadler offered a report to the county board this Tuesday covering the last year of operations by the sheriff ’s department. Stadler reported that 4,772 calls for service came in last year to the department, with the majority related to traffic issues. Interestingly 126 calls were related to animals, mostly to check on animals, such as in vehicles, or to respond to nuisance animals. Of all the calls last year, 80 were domestic calls, and 78 were mental health related.
