Landvik’s books include Chronicles of a Radical Hag and Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons, and Stonich’s books include Vacationland and Laurentian Divide.

Summer is wrapping up folks, fall is right around the corner! Grasshoppers and Cedar Waxwings are abundant this year in the garden, the hoppers were loving my green bean plants. Our harvest has started to ramp up and the canning is taking place a bit later here this season, my canner is just cranking with pints and quarts for the cellar. Despite all the harvesting jazz, we were able to sneak in one more camping trip. Now we start to think about buttoning up the place for, aaahhemm........ I cant say it yet, you know the cooler season. Until Next time.........

Two Harbors city council delays mayor election decision
During the regular meeting of the Two Harbors city council on August 22 issues surrounding setting a primary election for a mayor to replace the recently recalled Chris Swanson was delayed. Some discussion was held during the 5:00 pm committee- of-the-whole meeting regarding whether there was enough time before the fall November elections to elect a new mayor.
