A 14-mile-long trail just north of the Alger Grade near Hwy 2 has been completed after more than two years in the making. The public single-track dirt bike trail had a kick-off ribbon-cutting event on Friday, June 24 with Lake County officials on hand.

The 2022 NHL Stanley Cup tournament has just concluded with the Colorado Avalanche defeating the history-seeking, three-peat hopeful Tampa Bay Lightning in Game six by a 2-1 final. After losing G5 and a chance to win the Cup at home, the Avs went back to Tampa and got the job done.

The primary election for city councilors, state legislators and several state offices, as well as the recall question pertaining to the mayor of Two Harbors (for residents of Two Harbors only) will be held on Tuesday, August 9. Eligible voters may now vote in person at the county auditor’s office in the Lake County courthouse any weekday between now and August 9 , between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm.
