Local Farm Coins PUREfed After USDA Threatens $20,130 Fine It was agonizing for me and husband Ron of Salt and Light Heritage Farm when we recently decided not to certify their farm as organic with the USDA. Late in 2021, we consulted with the USDA National Organic Program to find out what the costs would be to certify our land, livestock, and crops.
