Trading our frostbite in for sunburn and bug bites! Spring is here folks! (By the time you read this there will hopefully be no snow, and little to no ice on the lakes). This year’s Spring season looks/ed a bit like this; snowbank on one side of the yard and grass on the other. It’s safe to say we are/were in the transition period where we have all seasons going on in our yards at once. It’s the norm for us in Finland to be outside this time of year with shorts and a tank, yet we have a winter cap and gloves on digging around in flower gardens or tidying up the yard. (Who am I kidding this can be normal attire all year round!) Who among us does this? Shoveling snow from a snowbank to (spread it around), so it melts faster. How about the endless temporary ditch digging we all do across our driveways, or from the back yard to the front so it runs down the actual ditch. Maybe not everyone in Finland has a ditch…hmm, can’t be… we all have a ditch, right?
