Walk on Snow

It was near zero and the snowpack was solid in Lake County early this week. Forget the snowshoes and just go for a hike almost anywhere you’d like, at least in the morning hours before the spring sun starts to get to work. Mariners and Agates Kick Off Track and Field Season at UWS Meet

Spring has sprung, and Track and Field season with it. According to Agate Distance coach Dan Hebl, the Agates had one good week of outdoor training before the cold and wintry mix dominated their schedule and routes. The first meet of the season took place on Saturday, March 26 at the University of Wisconsin-Superior indoor track arena, and was attended by both the Agates and the Mariners. According to Rick Frericks, head Mariner coach, Saturday’s meet “is just getting our legs under us, having fun, staying healthy, figuring out how it all works.”
