Like every spring sports coach in Lake County, Ori Scherer is anxious to get her Agate softball athletes outside and on the field. With the likelihood of more snow this week she understands there may be a few more doubleheaders this season to make up for lost games due to weather.

Although the Lake County Press knows that the majority of sportsmen and women are lawabiding folks, there are a few that run afoul of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Conservation Officers. Periodically, the DNR provides a report of some of the miscreants the Conservation Officers (CO) have encountered. Can we speculate on the WILD playoff chances yet? LARSMONT For the calendar week just ended the Minnesota WILD had a splendid go of it. The club put up a 3 win week with one OT loss and earned a much-needed 7 of 8 points to bolster their 2nd place position in the Central division.
Fall Lake Township’s reorganizational meeting was called to order by Deputy Clerk Sheila Gruba. Supervisor Eric Hart was nominated as board chair. Incumbent Craig Seliskar was sworn in previously to serve as supervisor for the next three years.
