March 8 is International Women’s Day. Don’t ask me how I know this. I just do. So let us speak of Woman, specifically the International Woman. I like her. Very much. In my opinion She deserves much more than a day. But time waits for no man. Or woman, it seems. So… let’s get to it.

From fundraisers and community events, to infrastructure and beyond, supporting local creates a domino effect of saving resources and costs.
Lake Superior Community Theatre has postponed its production of the drama The Diary of Anne Frank due to cast non-Covid health issues and related scheduling challenges, according to play director and community theatre executive director Paul Deaner. Deaner had no comment regarding the specifics of the health issues
After several years of dedicated effort, the Trees and Trails Commission of Two Harbors has been awarded the “Tree City USA Growth Award” by the Arbor Foundation. The list of organizations that have partnered with the Commission to plant and replace trees is long and includes the Lake County Soil and Water Conservation District, Castle Danger Brewery, Friends of Trees and Trails, the Two Harbors Girls Scouts, the City of Two Harbors, and Public Works.

With over 6,700 customers, from north of Duluth, throughout Lake County reaching out nearly to Ely, Cooperative Light & Power (CLP) in Two Harbors is urging customers to learn about their ability to participate in decision-making and to get involved.
The Two Harbors city council voted to approve a preliminary agreement with ACRE Development, by doing so have accepted a gift of land from the development company. The land is being donated to the city with the express understanding that it is contingent on receiving favorable zoning for development on a separate piece of property on Lighthouse Point.
