WILD COACH tough on staff and other hockey news! LARSMONT I consistently mention how much hockey I’ve seen over the years, from various vantage points. I restate it out of my love of the game and my pride for my time around it.
“The Two Harbors Invite at Korkki Nordic is always an entertaining race as the teams go retro,” said coach Jeanne Wright. “While our skiers are serious about skiing their best, we also have a lot of fun along the way, so we pulled out the team’s old suits and made quite the sensation.”
North Shore girls hockey coach Zachary Vieau said his team is not only talented but resilient. When the going gets tough, no matter the quality of competition, the Storm dig deep and get going.
Greetings to all and welcome to the first edition of the Lake County Press! I know I am not alone in my sense of excitement and satisfaction that our county is sprouting a new way of sharing news and information, events, joys, concerns, and dialogue.
So January is many things but I think the word most people use to describe it is “long”. Yes, technically it’s tied for the longest month of the year with others but I’d like to see any other month look hard and long into the cold, grey eyes of January and see who blinks first.

She is a Manx, so has no tail, a special feature that makes children exclaim! Still spry and agile, Raven lost one of her eyes to disease a few years ago.
